Career Development & Occupational Studies (CDOS) consists mostly of 'work boxes' and 'file folder activities' that the students can complete independently. They learn to follow a visual schedule to complete tasks. These tasks all involve previously learned skills such as sorting by color, shape or size, recognizing /matching sight words, alphabetizing, and basic assembly. There is limited teacher interaction during CDOS so the students become familiar with a sheltered work environment. Rewards are only attained after all work is complete.
